What does it mean by the Deductible and additional Excess on the Motor Policy
and what are the different types of Excess
Deductibe: The amount paid by the Insured according to the Schedule of Deductibles attached to this Policy per accident.


Additional Excess: the amount that the insured bears in addition to the basic deductible, and the different types are: Under Age Excess, Sport Car Excess, and Offroad Excess.

What is the Third Party liability cover?
This covers the cost of claims for the Third Party damages such as vehicle repair & cash loss, property damage, and bodily injury as per the terms and conditions of the policy. Any damage or loss to own vehicle will not be covered.


What is comprehensive cover?
Covers full cost of claims for own damage and/or Third Party, vehicle repair & cash loss, property damage, and bodily injury as per the terms and conditions of the policy.


What documents are required for issuance of Motor policy by YAS Takaful?
Vehicle Registration, Driving License, and Emirates ID.


What documents are required to Insure a vehicle under company name?
Trade Licence Copy, Tax Registration Number, Driving License, and Car Registration.


Does my cover provide roadside assistance, if yes how can I contact them?
Please refer to your policy document for coverage details. You can reach out to our Roadside assistance partner International Motor Club (IMC) at 800 4101 by providing the policy number.


Can I transfer my vehicle Insurance to a new owner?
Yes, this can be done subject to review and approval from the Underwriting team based on the reasons and documents provided.


What is No Claims Discount (NCD) and what documents are required to avail this?
No claims discount is when a customer has no accidents for a period of 1 – 3 years. Documents include Driving License, Registration Card, Emirates ID, and No Claims Certificate.
